Sands Rivers Selous is a smart, permanent lodge, stylishly designed in thatch and stone flagstones with views over a wide and dramatically rocky stretch of the Rufiji River, that runs through the north of the Selous Game Reserve.

Situated in the Selous Game Reserve, which is home to such a Noah's ark of wildlife, that it's been made a World Heritage Site. Sand Rivers lies in close proximity to Steigler's Gorge, Lake Tagalala and the Beho Beho hot springs.

Offers a spacious open mess tent, lounging area and a library. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, game drives, walking safari, fishing*, boating* and fly camping*.

Accommodation at Sand Rivers Selous
5 rooms and two suites, each with its own spacious bathroom with powerful showers, four-poster bed and a standing fan (2 adults). The suites feature their very own plunge pool (2 adults). The Rhino House (2 adults), perfect for honeymoon couples, features private dining and a variety of activities. Each room and suite is completely open-fronted, with an expansive verandah set on stilts, giving each a stunning view over the river.
