Tracking The Endangered Rhino

 

Track the endangered rhino on this full day excursion.

The guide, along with the game trackers, take you down to the Klip River in an open 4x4 game vehicle. They track the rhinos from the vehicle using telemetry, as transmitters have been inserted into the animals' horns for monitoring purposes.

Part of the tracking takes place by vehicle, with the possibility of a 1 - 3 hour walk in between. It's almost a full day activity, leading along bumpy roads and rocky terrain. It is therefore not advisable for the fainthearted.

Departs from a selection of lodges in the Sossusvlei area daily at 0700 returning at approximately 1700.
